Can Aleksandrov hospital be closed?

Doctors have expressed their position at the press conference “Criminal Democracy. Defence of Aleksandrov hospital and arboretum of Academician Bogomolets have been already lasted for five years” concerning the having begun illegal construction on the territory of Aleksandrov hospital. They have promulgated their appeals to the mayor of Kiev and Prime Minister of Ukraine.

"The All-Ukrainian medical society is deeply concerned about the situation which has been emerged round the illegal construction on the territory of Aleksandrov hospital, said Oleg Musiy, President of the All-Ukrainian medical society. It is not a single instance of encroachment of the powers that be on medicine and territories of hospitals. The same situation is on the territory of former hospital No.23 on Zoological Street, on the territory of hospital No.10, where multistoried buildings are being built.

Olga Bogomolets, Professor of the Kyiv National Medical University named after Bogomolets is convinced that the construction on the territory of Aleksandrov hospital puts in jeopardy its future existence:

"The place, where the construction has been planned, is in a few meters from the hospital, and if it is continued then the hospital will not be able to get a license in future and it just will cease to exist."
