A large-scale social advertising campaign “Return Ticket” has been started in Ukraine.

Organizers want to inform the public about advantages of substitutive supportive therapy (SST) and change attitude of drug addicts toward the treatment in Ukraine.

The site "Ask!" functions within the informative campaign framework created by drug addicts to discuss problems connected with SST. The purpose of this resource is the provision of comprehensive information about different aspects of the therapy. Leading experts in the field of health, lawyers, clients themselves and their parents have agreed to take part in the project.

"The dialog of society and drug addicts is definitely needed, and I see my professional role in the creation of a possibility for the informative exchange among patients," Anatoliy Vievskiy, Chief Narcologist of MHU told IMC (InterMedia Consulting).

According to him the first-ever such contribution will be a hot line opening attached to the Ukrainian Medical and Monitoring Centre for Alcohol and Drugs.

"People directly participating in the substitutive therapy program and their parents will work there. The top priority task of such service is the creation of a possibility to get all necessary information 24 hours a day," said Vievskiy.
