Inoculation is a highly debated question today. Modern methods can not determine its necessity. Only few of parents refuse inoculation as they can not bear responsibility for their child’s life.

As this measure is connected with high risk, your child should be examined by physician before the inoculation. If he is ill, inoculation will be suspended for a week or too. Not only the child should be sound, all his close must be healthy as well.

Consult your physician if your child is allergic or had a natal trauma. He should be observed during the first 30 minutes after inoculation. And here are some other recommendations:

1. Let the child drink a lot if he has got fever, sponge him with warm water.

2. in case of local reactions put a clean wet sponge onto a spot of reaction (but neither a compress nor balm!). Call the doctor if the next day there is no change.

3. Observe psychical and physical state of your child.

4. in case of asphyxia call the doctor immediately.

5. Avoid to give antibiotics or sulphanilamides to your child during 7 weeks after inoculation.

6. Avoid new food.
